We're Good To Go

This symbol indicates that Riverside Inn followed government and industry Covid-19 guidelines and have a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

We are pleased to be opening again on Saturday 4th July 2020 and we are taking all the appropriate measures to reduce the risks from Covid-19 to our guests and staff. To do this, a risk assessment has been completed and we have implemented several measures to reduce the risk of infection and demonstrate to our guests that we offer a safe environment. We hope this information will be informative, offers reassurance and enables you to have a relaxing stay at Riverside Inn.


1.Contactless check in

We have limited our direct contact and are practicing safe distancing ­­– we offer a completely contactless check in.

2.Social distancing

Shared access spaces such as the staircases are narrow and we ask guests to check that thoroughfares are clear, to avoid contact as much as is reasonably practicable.


Our Continental Breakfast will be served as room service. The tray will be left outside your room, as sadly our breakfast room is not big enough to comply with current guidelines.

4.General Hygiene

We provide anti-bacterial hand sanitisers at the ground floor lobby and in every guest room and would encourage guests to use these as often as necessary, in particular when entering/exiting the building.

5.Room Cleaning

We continue to maintain our high standards of hygiene in bedrooms and bathrooms using appropriate anti-bacterial cleaning products. Your room will be deep cleaned and sanitised prior your arrival, including door handles, light switches, and other regular touch points. All towels and linen are laundered in house with anti-bacterial additives to ensure high hygiene standards. Cleaning and sanitizing will be carried out on a regular basis, to the highest of standards in all areas of the house. All Shower gels, shampoo and anti-bacterial gel bottles are replaced for each new guest arrival. Following departure all hospitality trays are sanitised and all contents are replaced.

6.Room Service

Room service is now limited to refreshing of hospitality trays, bin emptying and change of towels if required (to minimise risk to our guests and staff). You can opt out of housekeeping entering your room at all by displaying Do not Disturb sign.


Staff will wear PPE at times, and we hope this is not detrimental to the service we offer.

8.Contactless check out

To reduce contact with staff and other guests we are happy for guests to leave without any formalities provided payment has been processed and your key has been left in your room. Invoices if required can be requested at any time via email after departure.

9.General Protective Measures

Any guests who believe they have symptoms of the COVID-19 virus prior to arrival at Riverside Inn, should contact us with a view to cancelling or amending their reservation and follow the UK Government COVID-19 Guidance.

If a guest develops signs of the Covid-19 virus whilst at Riverside Inn, they must inform us immediately, self-isolate in their room to minimise any risk of transmission and request a test. If they are confirmed to have Covid-19, they should return home if they reasonably can. They should use private transport but only drive if they can do so safely. If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority. Guests should follow government guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Once the guest has returned to their main residence, they should continue to follow the government guidance on self-isolation, household isolation and social distancing. If a guest shows acute symptoms, has breathing difficulties or their life is at potential risk, they must seek medical help immediately.
